I have lived in a few places each one very different from the next; Boston, Georgia Florida, Utah, the U.K. and currently in Missouri. One thing I’ve found in each city is that I love the Historical downtown areas. The laid back feel, the sense of community, and supporting small businesses. So this blog will be dedicated to the Historical Downtown of Lee’s Summit, MO. (By the way Lee’s Summit was voted #5 in the top places to live by USA Today)
There’s a small wine shop called the Red Door Wine Store
The owner is there just about every day and is super friendly and helpful. On Thursday they do wine tastings from 6-8 and feature different companies every week. So Milissa and I stopped in on our way to dinner.
*side note: that red bag is from Target. It’s my work bag, got it for $39.99. Super cute!
One of our favorite downtown spots is called 3rd Street Social
There is also a small farmer’s market on Wednesday and Saturday. Reasonable prices and a couple of vendors that sell baked goods that are pretty much to die for. You go there thinking let me be healthy and get my local produce for the week and leave with cinnamon rolls, pies, and zucchini bread… Maybe this is just my experience 🙂
I could go on an on about the little shops, restaurants, and bars that Lee’s Summit Historical Downtown has to offer. If you are looking for a chill weekday happy hour, good conversation, or a place to get a quick bite and catch up with a friend your local Historical Downtown might be the place for you.
Comment below if you have a Historical Downtown that you think we should visit. We are always looking for new places to go and people to meet!
