Shardae and I went out last night to celebrate a friends birthday. The night started at the District. Pour House + Kitchen  

We’ve been here few times in the past and literally every time we go we say “we should come here more often.” For some reason I fell like District just flies under the radar. Their specialty is infused liquor and in their words a “new/progressive American menu”.  My best description; District is what happens when foodies decide to open a bar. Their infused liquor flavors are seasonal with flavors like Strawberry and Marshmallow. 

I ordered the Black & Basil Martini; a blackberry infused gin with St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, agave nectar, lime juice and basil. Served in a chilled martini glass.  

Shardae tried the Ginger-peach Smash; ginger peach infused whiskey mixed with mint, simple syrup and lemon. It was so good we forgot to take a picture! 

The food is just as good as the cocktails. 

We ordered the Fried Goat Cheese with a chimichurri sauce. 

A mix of chicken and wild mushroom street tacos topped with a tomatillo salsa, corn-black bean pico, and queso fresco. 

In previous visits I’ve tried their lettuce wraps, district wings, and risotto balls. Everything was delicious! 

The District has a Sunday brunch that we plan on going back to try in the near future.
